This Lightroom preset will bring out detail in heavy shadows. While this will result in a slightly unnatural look, sometimes the benefit of the extra detail might outweigh this problem.
Now, I know this example photo (which is just a cell phone pic) might be a bit controversial to some, but these people just happened to be harassing people in front of my bank’s ATMs today and this photo seemed to be a good one to try and bring out some shadows. I have my opinions and they are not inline with this sign.
